the Curtain Fig Tree

“Just as the tree shelters its ecosystem, CURFIG restores your skin’s natural balance.”

#our story

born from necessity

Our story began with a simple yet urgent question:

Could skincare truly protect sensitive skin under Australia’s intense sun and dry climate—without irritation?

Jinwoo Choi / Co-founder

When we arrived in Australia, my wife’s sensitive skin struggled. The harsh sun, dry air, and relentless heat left every product failing—either too weak to protect, or too harsh to trust.

We didn’t settle. After months of research, we found the answer: strengthen the skin’s natural barrier to handle environmental stress. We combined Australia’s native ingredients with Korean skincare technology, creating a balance that soothes and protects.

Our first moisturizer became the foundation of CURFIG—vegan, cruelty-free, and effective without compromise. Today, every product follows this philosophy: simple, intentional, designed to support skin health in challenging environments.

Thank you for choosing skincare that’s gentle, effective, and kind—to your skin and our planet.

Naming “CURFIG”

The name CURFIG [‘kɜː.fɪg] is inspired by the Curtain Fig Tree (Cur + Fig), an ancient Australian tree that shelters life by protecting its ecosystem.
Like the tree, CURFIG protects and restores your skin—gently, naturally.

What does the Logo Means?

Our logo reflects the Curtain Fig Tree’s cascading branches—a symbol of protection and regeneration.
The bold C and G represent the tree’s strong canopy, while the flowing urfi beneath signifies the life sheltered within.
